1. Residential Property Lawyer

Term/Hours

Permanent position 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Part time will be considered.

Role Description

We are expanding and are looking for another experienced Residential Lawyer to join us. You will need at least 3 PQE+ residential property experience and be able to ease into a substantial and diverse property caseload including sales and purchases, re-mortgages, new build, right to buy and lease extensions.

Job Description

  • Managing all aspects of the conveyancing process, including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity.
  • Conducting property searches and investigations to identify any potential issues.
  • Examining and advising on title documents, contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Drafting and negotiating contracts and other legal documents related to property transactions.
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, and financial requirements.
  • Communicating effectively with clients, keeping them informed and providing clear advice.
  • Liaising with estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors to facilitate the transaction.
  • Handling the exchange of contracts and completion of transactions.
  • Registering property ownership with the Land Registry and dealing with post-completion matters.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or Licenced Conveyancer (with a current practicing certificate).
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in conveyancing, with a strong understanding of residential (and commercial) property law.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage a busy caseload.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in using conveyancing software and other relevant IT systems.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to providing a high standard of client care.
